If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s the beauty in the swerve, the plan changes, and the simple things in life that make life worth living. Although sometimes it seems like this year has had more downs than ups, I definitely beg to differ. Big weddings are absolutely my jam, but watching two people make a lifelong commitment to one another in the presence of only their families is an incredible thing — and that lifelong commitment seems a little more real when you make it during a global pandemic. I suppose it’s quite possibly more of an understanding of the uncertainty of the future than ever before.
So, here we are. Restrictions lifting and the world pressing on. Carson and Megan are an example of the beauty of the swerve and true lifeline commitment to one another. I swear, you spend 2 minutes in their company and their friendship and once-in-a-lifetime love is almost tangible. And they’re SO. DAMN. ATTRACTIVE. It is pure fate that I get to photograph their wedding not only in 2020 but again in 2021 when they celebrate their marriage with all their friends and family.
