Welcome to my little corner of the interwebs. I'm Kate -- wife, mom, and unofficial Starbucks Top Fan from the great fly-flyover state of South Dakota, with my heart and soul rooted in the mountains of Montana. I own an almost embarrassing number of crewneck sweatshirts, but love a good excuse to get dressed up. I speak fluent sarcasm, have very little filter, and am most likely to be listening to a super murdery podcast while grocery shopping.

I believe Friends was the most culturally relevant show to ever hit TV (seriously, best bromance of all time: Joey and Chandler. Could I be wearing any more clothes?), that coffee is in fact a meal, and Backstreet Boys is and will always be superior to N'Sync. It's a hill I'm willing to die on.

I think Taco John's is too spicy without extra sour cream, the 4th of July is one of the best holidays of the year, second only to Christmas. and that finding an M&M without a peanut in a bag full of peanut M&Ms is like winning the lottery.

Hello!

WHEN I'M NOT SHOOTING, YOU'LL FIND ME

managing costume changes and hotel reservations for my cooler-than-me 12 year old competition dancer.

I didn't think I'd be a full fledged dance mom when I signed her 3 year old self up for a simple tap class 8 years ago, but here we are.

with my head in a book. I love love love to read books, historical fiction specifically.

I once opted out of a hot girl summer and in on a bookworm summer. Best summer of my life, tbh.

WHEN I'M NOT SHOOTING, YOU'LL FIND ME

researching my argument regarding the necessity to grab Starbucks on every trip to Target.

It's scientific. I don't know how yet, but I'm getting there.

WHEN I'M NOT SHOOTING, YOU'LL FIND ME

discussing the physiological differences between a Sinoceratops and a Parasaurolophus and trading Pokemon cards with my dinosaur and Pokemon obsessed 9 year old.

If someone has strategies to master Pokemon, I'm all ears. The kid destroys me.

WHEN I'M NOT SHOOTING, YOU'LL FIND ME

It’s a tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme: sorority girl meets fraternity dude at a party … and forget they’ve already met until fraternity dude adds sorority girl on Facebook accidentally. Fast forward 18 years and those crazy college sweethearts added two humans (and a rescue mutt) to their little family. Cory, fraternity dude turned husband and father of the year, works in sales management and spends his time annoying his wife by hunting ALWAYS. The two tiny humans you see are Amari (12 year old dancing queen whose dream is to open her own coffee shop to feed her mother's addiction or be a professional dancer) and Beckham (the soccer loving third grader who wants to become a paleontologist, first studying dinos at whichever college his sister goes to). As a family, we aspire to spend as much time in the mountains as possible and miiiight even attempt camping someday. It’s far from perfect, but it’s perfect for us.
